Candidate Models / Nautitech 40 (family)
Note: there are two commonly-referenced boats in the "Nautitech 40" size class: the older Nautitech 40 (Mortain & Mavrikios) and the newer Nautitech 40 Open (Marc Lombard). This page tracks both because the dimensional fit differs mainly in mast height / air draft.
| Parameter | Target |
|---|---|
| LWL | 38-48 ft (11.58-14.63 m) |
| LOA | 39-52 ft (11.89-15.85 m) |
| Beam | 21-26 ft (6.40-7.92 m) |
| Draft | 3 ft 9 in-5 ft 4 in (1.14-1.63 m) |
| Bridge deck clearance | >= 30 in (0.76 m) at loaded displacement (lowest point); prefer ~33 in (0.84 m) |
| Waterline to mast tip (max) | 63 ft (19.20 m) |
| Parameter | Target | Actual | Fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| LWL | 38-48 ft (11.58-14.63 m) | 37 ft 9 in (11.50 m) | Close (3 in short) |
| LOA | 39-52 ft (11.89-15.85 m) | 39 ft 4 in (11.98 m) | OK |
| Beam | 21-26 ft (6.40-7.92 m) | 21 ft 4 in (6.50 m) | OK |
| Draft | 3 ft 9 in-5 ft 4 in (1.14-1.63 m) | 3 ft 11 in (1.20 m) | OK |
| Bridge deck clearance | >= 30 in (0.76 m); prefer ~33 in (0.84 m) (loaded) | TBD (measure at loaded displacement; lowest point) | TBD |
| Waterline to mast tip | ≤ 63 ft (≤ 19.20 m) | 49 ft 3 in (15.00 m) | OK |
Summary: the classic Nautitech 40 is very close on LWL (about 3 in short vs the baseline minimum), and fits the 63 ft air-draft limit easily.
| Parameter | Target | Actual | Fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| LWL | 38-48 ft (11.58-14.63 m) | 39 ft 2 in (11.94 m) | OK |
| LOA | 39-52 ft (11.89-15.85 m) | 39 ft 3 in-39 ft 4 in (11.98 m) | OK |
| Beam | 21-26 ft (6.40-7.92 m) | 22 ft 7 in-22 ft 8 in (6.91 m) | OK |
| Draft | 3 ft 9 in-5 ft 4 in (1.14-1.63 m) | 4 ft 4 in-4 ft 5 in (1.35 m) | OK |
| Bridge deck clearance | >= 30 in (0.76 m); prefer ~33 in (0.84 m) (loaded) | TBD (measure at loaded displacement; lowest point) | TBD |
| Waterline to mast tip | ≤ 63 ft (≤ 19.20 m) | 65 ft 8 in (20.05 m) (approx.) | Fail (+2 ft 8 in) |
Summary: the Nautitech 40 Open fits the length/beam/draft envelope well, but fails the 63 ft mast clearance constraint based on published air draft.
The 3-cabin version places a large owner's suite in one hull (port), with an ensuite head and separate shower. The galley and saloon are in the bridgedeck living area; the nav station / workstation is also in the saloon.
as-measured air draft including antenna/windex/light, and include margin for bridge clearances.
